New Members

Players of all skill levels, men and women, are welcomed in the T.G.H.A. Before the start of the regular season play we hold evaluation sessions which new members must attend. This gives us an opportunity to determine your skill level in order for us to properly place you during the draft. We use a draft system to assemble the teams and to ensure players of all skill levels are distributed evenly to every team.

Evaluation sessions are held in early September before the draft party and the regular season games start at the end of the month. For further information please .

In addition to the regular scheduled games during the season we organize several shinnies. We encourage anyone who is considering joining the T.G.H.A. to come play in a shinny, or two. This is a great opportunity to play some casual hockey with us, to establish a connection, and to determine whether the T.G.H.A. is for you.

In order to play in our league you must wear full equipment, including full visor or face cage, with no exceptions. This is strictly enforced and is required for insurance purposes which is provided by the Canadian Adult Recreational Hockey Association (CARHA).

Returning Members

Beginning at the season closing banquet, until June 30th, returning members have the opportunity to pre-register for the next season with a $100 deposit. A cheque must be received before the June 30th deadline. Please include your complete contact information, including email address, with your cheque. Your deposit will be applied against your regular season membership fee.

Returning members may be eligible for the "early bird" discount off the regular season registration fee if the $100 deposit is received before June 30th. Pay in full before your first game and you could save even more! Fees and discounts are determined by the T.G.H.A. executive during the off-season, please contact the for more information.

Non-Playing Members

You can become a non-playing member of the T.G.H.A. at anytime for $50 per year. Being a non-playing member gives you privileges such as free admission to all T.G.H.A. events, including banquets, parties and shinnies during the season.

Our Constitution has more information about membership privileges and complete details about how our league functions. The Constitution also has information about the T.G.H.A. Subsidy Plan, which is provided to deserving members.
