The Toronto and Montreal Gay Hockey Associations have decided to pursue a unique LGBTQIA+ ice hockey tournament, the Coupe Canada Cup (previously called the Eastern Canada Cup), which rotates annually between the two cities.

The main reason for moving ahead with this approach is the increasing number of tournaments and gay hockey-related events throughout North America and the rest of the world. Under the current economic conditions, the 2 associations strongly feel it’s better to unite our efforts and present one memorable hockey event annually.
